Andrea Emmes makes this story great. You can’t help but fall in love with Clay and Riley. She also plays Blake very well – creepster and ego extraordinaire. My only thought is that she could make the male parts a big more sexy with a little more practice. She has it but it not quite fully developed. I have absolutely no doubt that Emmes will fine tune her male POV and then, well – listeners will swoon.
Always You could have been half of its length. There was so much repetition and well, after a while, I did have a hard time with Blake’s continuous encounters. I felt like there should have been more security for her. It would become angst and violent and then oops – no biggie – that is just that person being upset. Physical violence shouldn’t be brushed off so readily and so for that, I wished that those parts had been left out and we had focused just on Riley and Clay – perhaps what they were like before that year she came back to the States?
I did listen to the full story and did enjoy it but I felt like I was missing something that maybe I hadn’t heard? Mosely has written amazing books that I am a huge fan of but I don’t think this is her best. This audio saves it by at least one star.
Can’t wait for more from Emmes and of course, props to Mosely for another romance from friendship story. Love those Alpha older like brother protectors. Keep it up.
